We supplied a 10-ton chain grate
In a chain-belt grate, the grate surface is the chain belt itself. Sprockets drive the chain so the grate bars advance slowly. The grate bars are usually made of cast iron, and once assembled, the necessary ventilation gaps are kept between adjacent bars. The grate also typically has a partitioned wind box underneath whose air supply can be adjusted, so that air passes through the gaps into the fuel bed for combustion.
