Advantages and Working Principle of the Reciprocating Grate

The reciprocating grate from our partner factory is a stepped reciprocating stoker for 1-180t/h boilers, characterised by two-sided ignition, automatic stoking, wide fuel tolerance, low energy use and easy maintenance.

Structure and working principle

The grate alternates moving and fixed bars. When the moving bars push forward they carry fresh coal onto the hot bed for two-sided ignition; when they retract they loosen the bed, break up coke lumps and shed the ash shell, improving bed permeability and burnout.

Comparison with a chain grate

Compared with a chain grate, the reciprocating grate stands out for very wide fuel tolerance, followed by efficient combustion and clear coal savings, while automatic stoking reduces manual work.
