The moving grate bar is the moving part of a reciprocating (stepped) grate stoker; it pushes the fuel forward by sliding back and forth, and we supply replacement parts from our partner factory.
Movement and mounting position
A reciprocating grate arranges moving grate bars and fixed grate bars alternately to form a stepped grate surface. During its reciprocating motion the moving bar pushes the fuel forward while taking the combined effect of sliding contact and thermal cycling.
Material selection
| Position | Material |
|---|---|
| Grate bar (high-temperature zone) | Cr25Ni20 (310S) |
| Grate bar (areas with lower temperature requirements) | Cr26Ni12 |
| Wear plate | Stellite alloy or equivalent hardfacing |
The material range at our partner factory also covers HT200, HT250, RTSi5, RQTSi5, RTCr16, RTCr, RTCr2, RTCr5 and RTCr2Si4Mo, with customisation to customer requirements, and the products meet the NB/T 47050-2016 technical standard. RTCr2 in particular is rated for use in reciprocating grates.
Machining and inspection
Moving grate bars are precision cast and machined so that they fit properly, and heat treated for mechanical properties. Dimensional inspection is carried out before dispatch, and both standard and custom parts can be supplied.
Matching parts
The same series also includes fixed grate bars, wear plates, guide rails, and hydraulic components such as cylinder connectors, pivot pins and bushings. Please provide the grate model or drawing, and we will check the dimensions and quantity of the moving grate bars on that basis.
