Extended residence time

Enlarge the volume of the secondary combustion chamber to ensure the flue gas residence time is ≥2 seconds, allowing unburned particles to be fully oxidized and decomposed and reducing the risk of carbon build-up.

Raw material pretreatment and operation management

Solid-waste pretreatment

Crush and compact lightweight solid waste with high volatile content, controlling the feed particle size within the 50–150 mm range to reduce the risk of localized heat concentration.

Application of additives

Every 200 hours of operation, use an ultrasonic cleaning device to remove ash from the furnace chamber; use high-pressure water jets to target and remove already-coked areas, and repair damaged areas of the refractory lining.

Through the comprehensive measures above, the coking rate of industrial solid-waste incinerators can be reduced by 60%–80%, while the service life of the refractory material is extended to more than 5 years.
