Slag remover roller

Slag remover rollers are fitted under the path of the chain to carry the weight of the chain and the scrapers and to keep the chain running steadily along a long conveying section. We supply rollers matched to the equipment, and the partner factory ships them.

Carrying the weight of the chain

A slag remover chain runs in a loop in the trough, and its own weight plus the load of ash and slag bears on the supporting points; the rollers take that load and reduce direct friction between the chain and the trough floor. Once a roller does not turn freely or its surface is worn, the chain tends to sag, run off its line and wear abnormally.

Matching parts and ordering

Please send the slag remover model, the roller drawing or the measured dimensions of the old part. We check the roller diameter, length and mounting method from that. We can advise on selection and on matching the parts, and the rollers can be supplied together with slag remover chains, slag remover chain links, drive links, return links and ring chain hooks.
