The slag remover chain link is the basic unit of a scraper slag-removal chain; several links are joined in series and driven by the drive wheel to carry ash and slag out along the trough. We supply slag remover chain links matched to the model, machined to drawing at the partner factory.
The basic unit of the chain
The pitch and hole positions of the link decide whether the whole chain meshes correctly with the drive wheel and the return wheel, and the way links are joined affects how easily the chain can be assembled on site and a single link replaced. The chain runs in ash and slag for long periods, so links are a high-consumption part and are usually stocked by the section.
Matching parts and ordering
We can advise on selection and on matching the parts: please send the slag remover model, the link drawing or the measured dimensions of the old part, and we check the pitch and joint form from that before quoting. Besides slag remover chain links we also supply slag remover chains, drive links, return links and ring chain hooks.
