Ring chain hook

The ring chain hook is the connecting part on a slag remover chain; it joins the links to the scraper or to other attachments, and it carries pull and wear along with the chain in service. The ring chain hooks we supply are matched to the equipment drawing and shipped from the partner factory.

Connecting and passing on the pull

A slag remover chain is made of links joined in series, and the ring chain hook makes the connection between neighbouring links, or between a link and a scraper. Its shape and the direction of its opening decide how it is assembled on site, and it can be replaced on its own during maintenance without taking the whole chain apart.

What we need to select it

Please send the slag remover model, the hook drawing or the measured dimensions of the old part. We check the pitch, the size of the hook opening and the material required from that. Ring chain hooks can be supplied together with slag remover chain links, slag remover chains, drive links and return links, and we can also advise on selection and on matching the parts.
