Heavy slag remover active link

The drive link of a heavy slag remover fits at the drive end of the chain transmission, meshes with the drive sprocket and passes the power along the whole slag-removal chain; it is the first link that carries the pull on a scraper chain. We supply drive links matched to the equipment model, machined to drawing at the partner factory and shipped from there.

Its position in the drive

On a heavy slag remover one end of the chain is driven by the drive sprocket and the other end is tensioned at the return end. The drive link meshes with the sprocket and turns the torque of the drive into straight pull on the chain. It belongs to the same transmission set as the return link, the ring chain hook, the slag remover chain link and the slag remover chain, so a replacement needs to be checked against the pitch and the joint form as a set.

The return link, ring chain hook, slag remover chain link and slag remover chain needed on the same machine can all be supplied together, which avoids the downtime of buying them in separate batches.
